The Speed gauge used to assume a top speed of 60 km/h, so a run or a relaxed ride only moved the needle a little. It now sizes itself to your own file: a runner might see a 20 km/h dial, a road ride 40, a motorbike trip 100 or more. A single GPS glitch won't stretch it.

If you've set the gauge's Max yourself, that value is still respected.
