How to Export GPX or FIT from Coros
Export your Coros activity as a GPX or FIT file from the Coros app or web portal — then use it to create stats photos, video overlays, and more.
Coros watches (Pace, Vertix, Apex) are popular with runners, cyclists, and trail athletes for their battery life and training load features. Every activity syncs to the Coros app and the Coros Training Hub web portal, both of which let you export GPX or FIT files.
Export from the Coros Mobile App
1. Open the Activity
In the Coros app, tap Profile → Activities and select the activity you want to export.
2. Export
Tap the share icon (top right) → Export. Choose your format:
- FIT — includes the full dataset: GPS, HR, cadence, elevation, power (if recorded)
- GPX — compatible with most apps and websites
Tap to save the file to your phone's storage or share it directly to another app.
Export from Coros Training Hub (Web)
- Go to training.coros.com and sign in
- Open the activity from Activity Records
- Click the export icon or three-dot menu
- Choose Export GPX or Export FIT
The web export is useful if you're on a desktop and want to move the file directly to your computer.
FIT vs GPX — Which to Use?
| FIT | GPX | |
|---|---|---|
| Data richness | More fields (power, cadence, HRV) | Standard GPS + HR + speed |
| Compatibility | Some tools don't accept FIT | Universally accepted |
| Best for | Stamptivity tools, Garmin Connect import | Everything else |
Stamptivity accepts both formats, so either works. If you're unsure, export FIT — it preserves more data and Stamptivity reads it natively.
What Data Is Included?
Coros FIT and GPX exports include:
- GPS coordinates and altitude
- Heart rate (optical or strap)
- Running pace and cadence
- Cycling speed and cadence
- Power (if you used a compatible power meter)
- Training load and HRV data (FIT only)
Using Coros Data with Stamptivity
- Stats image — Drop the GPX or FIT into Stamptivity Stamp to create a shareable training photo with pace, elevation, HR, and route map.
- Video overlay — Use Stamptivity Overlay to add live GPS gauges to your running or cycling footage.
- Compare activities — Load two files in Stamptivity Compare to compare sessions — useful for tracking progress on the same route over time.
- Convert or merge — Use Convert to turn a FIT into GPX or CSV, or Merge to combine split activities into one file.
Tips
- Coros's GPS accuracy is strong for trail and mountain activities — the map trace in Stamptivity will be clean even in technical terrain.
- Coros Apex Pro and Vertix 2 support dual-frequency GPS (L1+L5), giving particularly accurate positioning in canyons and forests.
- If you track via Strava sync, you can also export from Strava — though the original Coros file preserves more fields.
